Maintenance Information must be provided to the building management prior to completion of the project. This is a required item if identified on the TR8 form by a Registered design professional. A building may contain many pieces of equipment installed in it in order to provide essential services to the tenants. All these types of equipment require continuous repair and maintenance in order for them to operate properly.
TR8 form requires a lot more items to be filled out on the TR8 form. These items need to be specified by the applicant of record in order to be included in the TR8 form. Tr8 form is the required form that needs to be filled out and submitted to the NYC DOB. Nowadays, since permit filing is all online so the TR8 form must be filled out and submitted in an online portal created by the NYC Department of Buildings. This TR8 form must be submitted in DOB NOW. Which is an online portal and also includes DOB NOW-Safety, DOB NOW-Build, and DOB NOW INSPECTION.
TR8 form is a way the applicant of record certifying to the NYC DOB that the design he made is as per NYC Energy Code and the contractor who is performing the actual construction work will make sure that he/she will follow the requirements of NYC Energy code and hence will help the city in achieving its Energy conservation goals.
The project manager must consider following the following checklist before the completion of the project.
Have maintenance manuals been provided for mechanical equipment?
Have maintenance information(Manual) have been provided for Electrical equipment?
Have maintenance information is provided for all other equipment requiring preventive maintenance?
Are provided maintenance manuals are applicable to the equipment and systems installed?
Have all equipment labels been inspected for accuracy and completeness?
